Board works as designed and saved me hundreds of dollars in possibly unnecessary repairs and/or new fridge. However, the circuit board appears to have been printed with the wrong orientation. It's upside-down. I'll try to explain. The original (bad) board was installed in the fridge with the printed label upside down - and the shiny copper coils were oriented at the lower edge. When attempting to install the new board in exactly the same position, it would not fit into the plastic clips that hold it in place. Apparently the two cylindrical posts hit some soldered spot or the two large holes on the back were misaligned and it would not snap into place. It was elevated maybe 1/8 of an inch. When I rotated the board so the copper coils were on the top and the label was printed with text oriented correctly, it would snap easily into the fridge, but with that orientation, the ribbon cables were too short to reach their required connectors. The only way to install was without having it snapped into the plastic clips. I considered trimming the cylindrical posts with a dremel but was reluctant to make any changes in case this particular board fails soon. So, it's in, wedged between the clear plastic cover and the fridge "receptacle", but not actually fastened into position. However, it works as designed and the fridge is up and running as it should be. Hopefully it lasts.FYI, the programming required for my fridge, a Maytag MFI2269VEB3, was best assisted with the YouTube video by 247 TECH for the Maytag MFI2269VEM2. That process worked while other videos and site's processes did not. I'd post the link but Amazon would probably censor it.I also changed the compressor"start device" - a thermal relay as this had also failed. Not sure which happened first - maybe the bad relay fried the board? Or vice-versa. The board didn't show any signs of damage though. In any case roughly 200 dollars got the fridge cooling again and I'm a happy camper though I did have to redact 1 star for the poor physical fit. This was the easiest cheapest fastest shipped. It says whirlpool but works on my kitchenaid same board this was one of two parts I needed to get my fridge back up after the power outage we had it went out 4 times within a minute and six hours later the power came on and my fridge display was blue with white diagonal lines if I pressed the water dispenser it would beep and sometimes shoot out a little water then came to find out it wasn't cooling either so tried all the reset instructions and still nothing so I looked up the cost of repairs and if someone else was to repair it and oh hell no I wasn't going to waist that kind of money I was about to just go buy another one until it hit me Amazon has just about everything a person could need so I went to the website for my fridge and looked up all there over priced parts I would need wrote the model numbers down and looked em up on Amazon within seconds I was relieved to find this board and this Whirlpool WPW10662129 Capacitor got both parts together for under two hundred dollars total. parts came pretty quick switched em out put the 4 digit code from inside the fridge and fridge back up and running the codes can be looked up on Google I looked mine up and they pointed out where to find the code and how to put it in? I had to stick a towel in the ice flap cuz it went haywire and the dgigits on the gage started flashing.. after a couple of hours I took towel out and der it waste board was sold as new I hope I wasn’t bamboozled or get a exchange.. holiday season is here I need it to run ??This is exactly what my fridge needed, and prevented me from having to shop for and dole out $$ on a new fridge.Packaging was excellent! Was doubled boxed....before I started process was worried about programming but it already came up in programming mode after install..my refrigerator is a kitchen aide ( whirpool) I found a great video on you tube to help. Well worth money..hopefully this one will last life of my fridge ...wish programming instructions came with item but found them o. You tube and GoogleFactory part at a great price. Fixed the fridge at a fraction of the cost for a new one.To replace a faulty main control board. I got the information from GOOGLE.com. However I have to try several YOUTUBE sites to obtain all actuation instruction for a successful actuation after installation.Fit perfectly. My fridge is a 2020 code and it worked perfectly. If you don’t know what that means, do more research before attempting the install. We had a power outage. Our Kenmore French door fridge with an ice maker did not work when the power came back on. When we pushed the buttons on the ice maker and the display would light up but go out again when we released the buttons. We tested the compressor, start resistor etc...and determined the problem was with the control board. We got the product number off the old board and did some research on Amazon. After reading other reviews we bought this board, even though our old board was a W10310240. We ordered it on a Friday and it was delivered Monday. We replaced the board and followed another reviewers programming instructions to enter our fridges program code. The fridge works properly again...I had a technician assess my fridge and quoted me around $600 parts and labor. I was about to seal the deal and go for the repair, but then he told me he is not 100% sure that it was the issue and if it does not work I will lose the $600. The moment he told me that he was not sure I told him not to do it and was thinking of dropping the fridge to the recycle. Luckily I saw a guy did the repair on YouTube with the same fridge that I had and gave this control board details on how to order and install. Hesitant at first but decided to pull the trigger. What a surprise it did really worked and saved me at least $400 if I choose the technician to repair it. and even thousand to buy a new one.Front display/control panel was not working and neither was the fridge, every time I would push one of the buttons all display lights would come on but go out again soon as I released any button. Researched a bit and found this to be most likely cause, product worked a charm, it's only been 2 weeks but all is good. Had to reprogram the fridge after installing new board so it knew what fridge it was running as many fridges of different brands run the same board, Google to the rescue.Worked like a charm after my Maytag (Whirlpool) bottom freezer starting acting up and control panel started flashing 000 000 in front panel. Found a great video on YouTube to reset the code and my fridge works again. This thing saved my life. The prospect of having to replace my 5 year old fridge was heat breaking. But this little item fixed everything and was super easy to install and program.
